Missions & Ministries
The Carpenter's Cupboard
The Carpenter's Cupboard is our food pantry ministry. It has been very active, especially since the down turn
in the economy.
In an attempt to provide an organized way of receiving foods we have developed the following schedule:
1st week of the month: soups, pasta, tomato sauce, chili, pork and beans, spaghetti and meatballs, etc.,
2nd week of the month: peanut butter, jelly, canned vegetables (corn, peas, green beans, etc.)
3rd week of the month: canned meat (tuna, chicken, spam, ham, vienna sausage, etc.) canned/bottled
4th week of the month: cereals, oatmeal, grits, rice, dried beans, mac n cheese, etc.
5th week of the month: Your choice!
Please try to refrain from bringing in outdated items; such as flour, sugar, pumpkin pie filling, cranberry
sauce, stuffing; etc.
We now have an agreement to purchase food through the Harry Chapin Food Bank for 17 cents a
pound.  If you make a monetary donation, please designate it for the food pantry.

Vickie Street and Becky Gomez are in charge of this ministry.
Noah's Attic
Noah's attic is an outreach that is targeted towards the poorest in the community, who have
children.  There are clothing and nursery items available, as well as diapers and formula. It is
staffed only on the first and third Tuesday, of each month and they are very busy. Donations of
lightly used clothing are always welcome.
This is OPEN the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.
The Immokalee High School Beta Club is now coordinating this ministry. Please speak to Linda
Ayer if you would like to assist with translations , or with donations of clothing and money.
Peru - Christmas Ministry
Each year, we read letters from people that we have helped the previous year in our Peru Mission.
The congregation makes love offerings to help the poor in Natchez, Peru.   We link up with a
Catholic church. The church identifies needy families, who are given approximately $25(US). That
money is used to buy food and gifts for Christmas.
Priscilla Newsome is our coordinator for this Mission. NOW is the time to show your support for this
Adopting Highlands Elementary School

We are in the process of "adopting" Highlands Elementary School. Highlands is the
elementary school that is closest to our church. Pastor Thom states,
"Even if you can
only volunteer one or two days a month your involvement will make a difference
in the lives of these young people and our witness will make a difference for the
Kingdom of God.  Please prayerfully consider being a part of this ministry."
Members from our church will be trained to help read to students at Highlands, as well
as help in others ways, that are needed. Please contact Pastor Thom for details.
